We work collaboratively with 17 units across the East of England to deliver high quality care to our children and their families

Meet The Team

Elizabeth Langham

Director

ODN Director of NCC/SIC/PCC ODN, my role incorporates working at a local, regional and national level and having oversight and strategic vision for all 3 ODN's

Alison Clark

Lead Nurse

I have spent the last 30 years working both in PICU and also as a Senior Sister in general paediatrics at CUH.

Francesca Wright

Lead Nurse for Education

I am passionate about the education and development of the critical care workforce and ensuring staff have the framework, knowledge and skills to provide excellent care.

Naomi Rowell

Lead Practice Development Nurse

My backround is in paediatric critical care nursing both in London and Cambridge, where I also worked as an educator. My role at the ODN is to work with the team to support Critical Care education across the region, ensuring that children receive the best care when they need it.

Katie Bagstaff

PACU Education Lead

Katie is a Senior Sister for Recovery at CUH. She is also Chair for the RCN Children and Young People's Acute Care professional forum.

Kelly Hart

ODN Office Manager

I have been part of the ODN team since 2019 and I assist with the admin and organising needs of the team.

Data Coordinator/Administrator

I am the Data Coordinator and Administrator for the PCC & SiC ODN teams.

Services

All of our units provides care at level 1.

The PICU at Addenbrookes provides care up to level

Level 1-

An area where level 1 Paediatric Critical Care is delivered. With Paediatric Critical Care Network agreement, CPAP for bronchiolitis may be initiated or continued in a number of Paediatric Critical Care Units

Level 2-

A ward area where level 1 and 2 Paediatric Critical care is delivered.

Other than in specialist children’s hospitals, Level 2 Units should be able to provide, as a minimum, acute (and chronic) non-invasive ventilation (both CPAP an BiBAP support) and care for children with tracheostomies and children on long-term ventilation.

Level 3-

A unit delivering Level 2 and 3 Paediatric Critical Care

This unit may also be called a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
